Due to the ever-changing world we live in, new technology (like Facebook) has allowed people to connect with Marie and the studio from many years ago. Since launching our new site and Facebook page, we've received a number of amazing notes from Marie's former students that we wanted to share with you. If you have something to add, please post on our Facebook page, or email Jill@Mariestinnettdance.com! You can also post a review of the studio on our Yelp page.
Enjoy!
I started taking dance classes at Marie Stinnett Dance when I was six years old and I can honestly say I do not know where I would be without her and the amazing studio she has fostered. Every single teacher and class at the studio is the epitome of technique, joy and discipline. You will be challenged, but you will have so much fun. For younger students, she will impart the tools to lay the foundation for a professional career but the most important abilities that are conveyed are those of self confidence, awareness and personal strength. There is something for everyone at this studio. Forget the gym! Get your butt in class!

Dear Marie,
I came across your studio's page on a Facebook page someone set up for Campbell High's Fantasma. I have so many great memories of all that you did to inspire, encourage and nurture us. It's impossible to believe that all happened nearly 40 years ago since it seems like yesterday. In spite of being a singer with two left feet, I'm pleased to report that I managed to still find my way and earn a good living in the theater business. I'm CEO of a performing arts center in Charlotte, NC where we operate 6 theaters and rent a seventh theater. We produce/present over 1,000 performances annually, and are one of the key anchors for Broadway tours in the southeast.
I've been actively been producing for Broadway/National tour/London for about 15 years and have 4 Tony Awards (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Spamalot, RED, La Cage Aux Folles). Other musicals I've produced include The Color Purple, Legally Blonde and 9 to 5. Currently I'm producing a hit off-Broadway show called TRACES, and on Broadway a play called THE MOUNTAINTOP with Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett that opens next month. I've been a Tony Awards voter for about 15 years now, and served on the Broadway League's Board of Governors for a decade, include serving on the Tony Awards management committee
So, thanks for believing in all of us. Thanks in particular for your faith and confidence in me, in spite of being that singer with two left feet.
Warmest regards and gratitude -- Tom
