Policy and Rules |
The
rules listed
here are in place to protect the health and safety of all students.
None
of them are frivolous or superfluous, nor do they derive from a desire
to control anyone's life. They are based on many years of experience.
In
fact, some are the result of "learning the hard way." Stated simply, we
expect you to know them and follow them always.
Proper
dance attire
must be worn at all times in all classes (this is to insure safety,
freedom
of movement, and quality of instruction.).
Hair
must be fastened
securely away from your face and neck. (Note: No loose pony tails.
Extra
Special Note: "Scrunchies" may not be used in any form at any time.)
Earrings,
necklaces,
bracelets or anklets of any kind are not permitted and must be removed
before class starts.
Perfumes
are not
permitted in class (some people are allergic).
Smoking
is not permitted
in the studio or surrounding areas (particularly near the doors leading
into the studio areas).
Foot
and body powders
may not be used in the studio (it can make the floor dangerously
slippery).
Gum
is not permitted
within the studio or adjacent hallways and corridors.
All
shoes, bags,
sweatshirts and other over-clothing, equipment, gear and other personal
items must be labelled. The Studio cannot be responsible for lost or
stolen
items.
If,
for any reason,
you feel you cannot comply with one or more of these requirements, it
is
your responsibility to discuss the situation with your teacher before
class begins.
